Hailing from New Zealand, Markos Rounthwaite began his career as a stunt performer in 1994, and quickly rose to the ranks of Stunt Coordinator by 1999, working on productions in New Zealand including Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Xena: Warrior Princess, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, and King Kong.
After being part of the award winning stunt team for Casino Royale and The Bourne Ultimatum, Markos cemented his skills on some great action films as well, including Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, Zombieland: Double Tap, The Gunman, The Nice Guys, and Paul Greengrass’ political thriller Green Zone.
Markos has made his mark as a highly innovative Stunt Coordinator, and 2nd Unit Director, bringing in the knowledge acquired by working alongside Directors including Stephen Spielberg - Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Chrystal Skull, Paul Greengrass - Bourne Ultimatum & Green Zone, Guy Ritchie - Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows, Shane Black - Iron Man 3 & The Nice Guys, Ruben Fleischer - Zombieland: Double Tap.
