Cala d'Or is situated at 15 kilometres from Portocolom. It has different names, like Caló de ses Dones, Cala d'Hort and Cala d'Or. This last one is also the name of the coastal village. The beach is surrounded by rocky areas which are not very high, and it finishes with a small sandy area, beautiful, with fine-grained sand. The houses of the village are quite concealed behind the pine wood. This sandy area is one of the most pleasant and most sheltered ones of Santanyí.
